AI Store Editing

Lets AI assistants edit a live commerce platform, safely.

What I covered

Connector and access design, safety rules, and the admin settings screen.

Mock-up with invented data: a chat request and the impact report it returns.

The problem

Letting an AI assistant edit a live store is useful and risky: a wrong price or a broken page goes straight to customers. Editing had to feel as quick as chatting and be safe by design.

Mock-up with invented data: risky writes ask for a confirm code.

What I built

  • A secure connector in Go: admins sign in from their AI assistant and approve exactly what it may do.
  • Read tools and a rules engine; risky writes need a confirm code.
  • Product and price tools that return an impact report before anything changes.
  • Page edits are cleaned and SEO-checked before they go live.
  • A change journal with undo, an off switch, and a settings page for access and recent activity.
Mock-up with invented data: every change lands in a journal with Undo.
